I can see my carpet again!

I tend to underestimate how nice it is to have a clean space. But the things I come across while dealing with my messes are often nice surprises. Letters from friends, jewelry I forgot I owned, books I’d been driving myself crazy trying to find. So while it’s nice to be able to walk from my bed to my door in a direct line, without having to dodge purses and shoes and clothes and magazines, the convenience isn’t going to stop me from letting my life pile up all over my floor again: diving back into it is too much fun.

Road trip ramblings

Snippets of the randomness and ridiculousness from the 4.5 hour ride to Pittsburgh and the 4.5 hour ride home

• Jeremiah is going to expose himself to Bruce Springsteen (on the Metro?)
• frequently cursing out inanimate objects
• Pirates of the Caribbean 2 has very little dialogue
• I Love You, Man is still painfully awkward and still hilarious
• 1 KFC Double Down consumed
• 3 crazy T Rex motorcycle-car things
• We decided what insect each of us was and what breakfast food we would be nicknamed after (“IT’S FUCKING WAFFLES.”)
• Many odd “Would you rather”s (Ex.: “Would you rather be stuck on a desert island with Smitty or be stuck on a desert island with only cantaloupe to eat?” Not even a question for me, I’d go with the cantaloupe, but some were curious if it could be assumed that Smitty would be DTF)
• Naming children… middle name Cous Cous? Refusing to pass down the family name a deal breaker? 
• GPS vs. JPS
• Pretty mountains
• Detours and almost running out of gas
• The Tobacco Tiki aka the Cigarette Sierra

• Hypothetical situation: who would win in a fight, Morgan or an otter?
• Gas Area/Gasarrhea
• Morgan whisper singing in Jeremiah’s ear. Jeremiah was not happy about it.

• participated in a back massage chain
• Duck Duck Goose/Ball Ball Sack/Civilian Civilian Terrorist
• played with “Onix jizz”
• in-car dance party
• threw stuff at bats
• nearly cried at the end of Toy Story 3
• watched Eli get lurked, tabletopped, and wedgied, all in a row
• made beads out of magazines and glue and made a bracelet with them
• ragdoll cat hugs
• made a human pyramid (I was on top, of course)
